Is drinking 2 litres of water a day good for your skin and acne/teenage spots?

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

People are saying that water doesn’t help your skin or your acne. Some american experts looked into it and said there was no evidence that water flushs out toxins.

Also, how many glasses of water would 2 litres be?

Everyone reacts differently and enjoys varying degrees of benefits from drinking water. Personally when I drink water I notice my skin looks healthier.

Water in combination with a good skin care regime can help your acne but people make the mistake of thinking that drinking water on its own will be a miracle cure.

Does anyone have any recommendations to help my teenage acne problems?

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

I’ve tried Proactiv, Acnefree, and Phisoderm, but when I was finished testing them all, my skin was still oily and full of blemishes.
My friend uses these face cleanser pads, but she doesn’t have acne, do they work?
I’m also an athlete. Does sweat effect my acne too?

Finding the right product is the key. I had to try several before I found one that really helped. Clinque was that for me. Keihls as well. Both worked great. You have to try different ones and be consistent with your cleaning. It will get better! I promise!

Clinque never left me oily. In fact it was very drying. I had to use a moisturizer with it. Now that my acne is under control I prefer Keihls because it less harsh. Keep trying. Go to Clinque and talk to them. They can give you a lot of advice. I know too it harder for girls because yall wear makeup. You might what to look at the brand of makeup you are using as well.

DERMAdoctor Calm Cool & Corrected Anti-Redness Tranquility Cream

Rosacea is commonly mistakenly referred to as adult acne. It’s not acne. Dermatologists understand that this multifactor condition isn’t what your teen suffers from nor is teenage medication the proper way to treat it. The most common mistake for treating rosacea-resorting to ingredients used to fight teenage acne. Salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and retinoids frequently tend to only aggravate rosacea (making skin redder and more sensitive) rather than treating the condition. That’s because rosacea can include any or all of these symptoms: redness, scaling, new-onset sensitivity, inflammation, oiliness and blemishes. And since rosacea typically affects individuals between the ages of 25-65, skin rejuvenation is equally important. Yet many ingredients used in anti-aging products can irritate newly sensitive skin. These symptoms are diminished by controlling oil production, reducing inflammation, reducing cellular build-up, minimizing bacteria production on the skin and including potent, non-irritating rejuvenating antioxidants. Calm Cool and Corrected employs a sophisticated complex of ingredients to relieve all of these skin aggravations: Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid and Oleanolic Acid effectively help reduce visible signs of acne. Sebum Sequestering Micro-Particles , a form of polymer technology, help absorb excess surface skin oils without causing skin dryness. Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Chamomile Extract, Squalane and Shea Butter protect and hydrate delicate, sensitive skin often associated with rosacea without exacerbating acne in those prone to oiliness. White Tea , the most potent antioxidant form of tea extract, Superoxide Dismutase and Vitamin E fight free radical damage and help in skin rejuvenation. Dermatologist Tested & Approved : Non Comedogenic : Non Irritating : Allergy Tested : Fragrance Free : Dye Free : No Animal Testing

What is the best way to get rid of teenage acne? How do some people have none at all? How do they do it?

Are there any special soaps or products? What works?

Try using Listerine on a cotton ball then cover with band-aid, before bed. Colgate works to take a few nights of going to bed with it on face but clears up soon.
